I have a Blackberry Pearl and purchased a SanDisk memory card to supplement the bazillion pictures I take so that the phone would stop eating my messages.
About a week ago, the phone suddenly reset itself, and every since as refused to acknowledge the memory card. I took the phone back to the company, they simply put in a new card (which worked of course) and sent me on my way with the replacement.
Is there anyway to get back the photos and media files on the disk? The guy at the phone company said I could try a computer program, but wasn’t specific.
I do have the old memory card, it just isn’t in the phone itself.
Unfortunately there isn’t a way to get your data back. The reason why the memory card did not work is a format error. Most likely when the phone reset it was accessing something from the memory card and corrupted the formatting. You needed that other card to use a computer program.
